Ileta Krieger

Ileta Krieger, 88, of Mason City, formerly of Onslow passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on July 28, at Zion American Lutheran Church in Wyoming, Iowa. A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park in Mason City on July 30, at 11:30 A.M. Lahey and Dawson Funeral Service is assisting the family at this time.

Ileta Pearl Brown was born on March 29, 1930 in Mason City, to William and Edith (Nowning) Brown. She married Eugene R Krieger on January 6, 1952 in Mason City. Together they had five sons. Ileta operated a daycare for many years in Dubuque until they moved to Onslow in 1992. She was a member of Altrurian Women’s Club and Zion American Lutheran Church in Wyoming. For many years she read to the second-grade class while the Onslow Elementary school was in operation.

She is survived by four sons; Curtis (Cathy) of Mason City, Richard (Cheryl) of Virginia Beach, VA, Kevin (Cathy) of Auburn, NE, Gregory (Angel Emanuel) of Dubuque, IA ,15 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene, sister Edith (Brown) Kaduce and son Eric.

Memorials may be directed to the family in her honor to be shared between the Wyoming Public Library, and Zion American Lutheran Church.
