Duane G. Feuss

Duane G. Feuss, 80, of Oxford Junction passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 on the family farm. 

His funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, May 22, 2023 at the Oxford Junction Legionnaire. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 21 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Oxford Junction Legionnaire. Burial will be held at Mayflower Cemetery. Dawson Funeral Services is caring for his family. 

Duane Gilbert was born on November 5, 1942 to Gilbert and Beulah (Graves) Feuss on their family farm in rural Lost Nation. He graduated from Lost Nation High School and went onto AIC Business College. On September 1, 1962 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Jean Bicknese at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oxford Junction. During his life he worked as a Farm Equipment Dealer and also farmed in Jones County. He was a member of Farm Bureau. Duane was the founder of the local Hunters Education and Whitetails Unlimited Wapsie Bottoms Chapter. He was always volunteering and fundraising for the Oxford Junction Wapsie Park and Oxford Junction Wapsie Post 473. Duane enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. 

Those left to honor his memory are his four children; Danny (Mona) Feuss of Wyoming, Glenda (Kris) Leeper of Oxford Junction, Marsha Lasack of Lisbon, Steve (Aggie) Feuss of Oxford Junction, eight grandchildren; Derek (Annie) Feuss, Michelle (Mitch) Manternach, Carrie Leeper, Matt (Jess) Leeper, Alan (Maisie) Lasack, Becca (Anthony) Kruse, Tiffany (Kevin) Bies, Andrea Feuss and  twelve great-grandchildren; Deakon and Asher Feuss, Tadan and Tailynn Lange, Hadley and Isaiah Leeper, Adalyn and Crew Lasack, Carson and Luke Kruse and Henry and Caseyn Bies. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 53 years, a brother Louis, sister Janet in infancy, son-in-law Mark Lasack and a great-grandson Treyton.
