Darrell Kaczinski

Darrell J. Kaczinski, 78, of Delmar passed away on July 21, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

His funeral service will be held at 10:30 am. On Monday, August 2, 2021 at the United Church of Christ in Maquoketa. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 1 from 2:00-4:00 pm. At Dawson Funeral Services in Maquoketa. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in rural Maquoketa.

Darrell Joseph was born on September 13, 1942 in Clinton, Iowa to John and Arlene (Peters) Kaczinski. He attended St. Joseph’s Catholic grade school and graduated from Delmar High School. On June 30, 1962 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Myrna Daniels at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in DeWitt. He worked at Caterpillar in Mount Joy for many years. Darrell enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching his favorite westerns. His hobby was collecting antique toy tractors.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children; Darwin Kaczinski of Maquoketa, Justin (Rhonda) Kaczinski of Marion, Pamela (Ron) Poll of Delmar, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a brother Jim Kaczinski of Camanche.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and a grandson.
