Carol Ann Wagner Obituary

Carol Ann Wagner (Casel) went to be with her father, Charles Casel Sr., in heaven on December 25, 2018. She was 54 years old.

Carol was born in Maquoketa, Iowa on December 25, 1964 to Charles Sr. and Sally Casel (Husemann) of Otter Creek, IA. Carol attended Maquoketa High School where she graduated in 1984. She went on to work in several jobs where she interacted with people and changed the lives of everyone she met.

Carol enjoyed being a grandmother to her grandbabies the most in life; and her grandbabies knew that Grandma Wagner would never turn them down for anything, including candy or sweets at any time. She also enjoyed cooking for anyone that came to her house, and then sending you home with everything she had to spare in the fridge (including the fridge if you asked for it). Her favorite hobbies were going to the casino with her husband to play her lucky slot machines and stopping at the gas station to buy her favorite scratch offs (and made sure to grab candy for the kids when they came over).

Those left to cherish her memories include her mother; husband Karl Wagner, four children including Joseph (Jocelyn) Clark of Columbia SC, Jacob (Sara) Clark of Davenport, IA, Jayson (Amanda) Clark of Dewitt, IA and most loving daughter Jennifer (Joseph Jr.) Bock of Dewitt, IA. Carol is also the loving sister of Christine (Mike Riggs) Kuhle of Dubuque, IA, Chuck Jr. (Caroline) Casel of Delmar, IA, Connie (Tom Pitz) Vocke, of Dubuque, IA, Cecilia (Clarence) Buehl of Maquoketa, IA, Candy (Mike) Doescher of Clinton, IA and Casey (Billie) Casel, of Maquoketa, IA.

Carol was the loving grandmother to her ten grandbabies, which will miss her with all their hearts. She was also the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, who knew that their Aunt Carol would do anything for them.

Carol is also survived by her step children Makayla (Cody) Matheson of New Bronsville, TX and Derek Wagner of Canyon Lake, Texas.

Carol was preceded in death by her great grandparents Christopher (Esther) Casel and Benjamin (Shirley) Husemann.

She was also preceded by her beloved dog, Buddy, who proved to be her most loyal companion.
