Sanford Lee King
March 29, 1949 – August 4, 2025

Sanford Lee King, age 76, of Olin, Iowa, passed away on August 4, 2025, at Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice in Burlington, Iowa.

Born on March 29, 1949, in Davenport to LaVerne and Anna Marie (McCabe) King. He married Patricia Hoffner, on January 13, 1968, at the Olin Methodist Church.

Sanford worked at the rock quarry for many years. He enjoyed side by side rides. He loved to watch his sons and his grandson race. 

Sanford is survived by his four children: Lynnette (Brian) Buhrman, Shannon (Kevin) Schneider, Walt (Jackie) King, and Kolin King. He also leaves behind one sister, Bonnie Clausen; two brothers: Allan and Tom King; fifteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and his beloved dog, Laylana. 

He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia, his parents, two brothers Laverne Jr. and Roger, and his grandson Devyn.

Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00am on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Dawson Funeral Services in Olin, with funeral services following. He will be buried at Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction.
