Robert "Bob" Feuss Obituary

Robert D. Feuss, 83, of Lost Nation passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at his home.

A  visitation will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.at Dawson Funeral Services in Maquoketa, Iowa. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Dawson Funeral Services, Maquoketa. Burial will be held at Lost Nation Cemetery.

Robert Duane was born on June 21, 1937 in Clinton County to Henry and Elfrieda (Will) Feuss. He graduated from Lost Nation High School. On August 18, 1973 he was united in marriage to Joyce Strunk in Kohaka, Missouri. Bob farmed for all of his life and acquired many side jobs including driving grain trucks, Clinton Engines, working at the grain elevators and was a corn seed dealer for many years. He is a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a former member of the Lost Nation Cemetery Board and the Lost Nation Farmers Co-op Board. In his younger years he enjoyed playing softball, baseball, bowling, playing horseshoes and riding his snowmobile. He spent his weekends trail riding and attending tractor pulls. Bob was an avid Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball fan.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Joyce, daughter Trish Feuss of Lost Nation, step-children; Scott (Stacy) Gohlmann of Windsor Heights, Tracy (Keith) Gasper of Calamus, four step-grandchildren Tyler & Connor Gasper, Courtney Christiansen, Darr Hoffman, four step great-grandchildren, sisters; Betty (Darrell) Hopkins of Muscatine, Lois Short of Maquoketa, Konnie Edleman of Lost Nation, Joan (Bruce) Von Sprecken of Maquoketa, Donna (Randy) Muhl of DeWitt, Diann Feuss of Agate, Colorado brother, David (Jody) Feuss of Lost Nation, brother-in-law Dick Ward of Maquoketa and a sister-in-law Diane Feuss of Lost Nation.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Norma Jean Clatt, Linda Ward a brother Gary “Smiley” Feuss, brothers-in-law Don Clatt, Bill Short, Allen Edleman, a niece Lola Mae Clatt, a great nephew Drew Scott, great niece Kayla Current and a nephew-in-law Eric Brooks.
