Robert Sweet

Robert M. Sweet, 63, of Olin passed away on August 19, 2022 at home.

His family is granting his wishes of cremation and a celebration of life will be held On Friday, August 26, 2022 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Hammer's Hideaway in Olin. 

Robert Marion Sweet was born on May 30, 1959 in Monticello, Iowa to Marion and Geraldine (Capron) Sweet. He worked at MAC Properties in Michigan. On February 12. 2010 he was united in marriage to his best friend of 25 years Terri Dommer in Anamosa, Iowa. Robert enjoyed golfing, fishing, kayaking and gardening. Rob was a lover of all animals especially his dog, Taz, and his two cats, Tinley and Twilight.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Terri of Olin, his mother Geraldine Sweet of Mount Vernon, a son Richard “Rick” (Elizabeth) Embry of Michigan, children; Candice (Steven) Williams and Shane (Rebecca Hughes) Baxter both of Anamosa, three grandchildren, Zoey, Sophie, Stella, four sisters; Cheryl (Rob) Strawn of Surprise, Arizona, Sue (Joe) Skoff of Mount Vernon, Sondra (Dan) Burnell of Mount Vernon, Jane (rod McFate) Sweet of Olin and a close friend Melonie (Steven) Conn and their three children; Kylie, Alyssa and Taylor of Niles, Michigan and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to his family in his honor.
