Paul Swanson

Paul Gordon Swanson, age 73, of Wyoming, Iowa, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025.
He was born on January 28, 1952, in Iowa to Paul and Georgia Swanson. Paul graduated from
Maquoketa Valley High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force,
receiving an honorable discharge.
A hardworking and talented man, Paul spent much of his life farming and was known for his
exceptional carpentry skills. He also operated his own welding shop. He loved fishing, working
with his hands, and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Eric Swanson of Cedar Rapids, Adam Swanson of
Wyoming, and Michelle Swanson of Chicago; his sister Peggy (Bob) Cherveny of Texas; his
brother Jerry Swanson of Monticello; and his three beloved grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ruth Ann Crooks.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
