Marjorie Louise Kyarsgaard

Marjorie Louise Kyarsgaard, 88, of Monmouth passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Wheatland Manor.

Her family has granted her wishes of a cremation and a private family graveside service will be held at Monmouth Cemetery in Monmouth, Iowa. Dawson Funeral Services of Wyoming is caring for her family at this time.

Louise was born on September 16, 1934 in Stapleton, Nebraska to Laurence and Annabelle (Wiley) Taylor. She graduated from Alexandria High School in South Dakota. She was united in marriage to Leon Kyarsgaard for over thirty years. Louise worked at Maquoketa Care and Crestridge Nursing Home as a dietary aid after raising her three children and taking care of their home. She is a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Baldwin. She loved spending her time reading and working on crossword puzzles.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Rhonda (Rodney) Bickford, a stepson Steve (Maryjane) Kyarsgaard both of Monmouth, five grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, a great-great grandson, two sisters: Kay Sinkler, Dana Brunick of Yankton, South Dakota and a brother Dick (Dolly) Taylor of Hungry Horse, Montana.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Leon, a sister Ann Joyner, two sons: Kerry and Brent Fite and a grandson Brandon Bickford-Chehak.
