Maihealani Husemann, 82, of Maquoketa and formerly of Waianae, Hawaii passed away at her home in Maquoketa surrounded by her loved ones.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Dawson Funeral Home in Maquoketa, Iowa.
Maihealani Marian was born on September 27, 1937 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Clarence and Kaleiokalani (Papa) Bowles. She graduated from Waipahu Highschool. She worked for the Federal Defense Commissary Agency.
Maihealani was a member of a bowling league in Hawaii that she enjoyed very much for over forty years. She also enjoyed drinking, playing cards and was an avid diver.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Thomas (Shannon) Husemann Jr. of Maquoketa, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and sister, Audrey.
Preceding her in death are her parents, son Clarence, sisters Gwen, Barbara, Ala, Momi and brothers Robert and David.
