Luana L. Kish

Luana, L. Kish, 62, of Maquoketa passed away peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Luana Lee was born on July 22, 1961 in Hammond, Indiana to Warren and Mae (Hendersen) Kish. She graduated from Andrew High School. She worked at Pacific Coast Feather for over 36 years and currently worked at Fareway in Maquoketa. Luana spent her free time crocheting blankets for all of her family. In her younger years she was a part of a Softball and Pool League. She enjoyed spending time outside and landscaping her yard. The most important things to her were making memories and spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her four sons: Brent (Erica) Till of LaMotte, Colby Till of Ankeny, Dempsey (Jessica Ries) Clark of Bernard, Derrick Clark of Delmar, a grandson McCoy, two sisters: Melody (Jim) DeWitt of Sun City West, Arizona, Wendy Kish of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, a brother Warren Kish Jr. of Chicago, Illinois and her close friend and cousin Kimberly Johnson of Spragueville.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Melesa Kish.

Her family would like to express a special thank you to  Mercy Hospital Floor 3 in Dubuque and Hospice of Jackson County for the compassionate care they gave to Luana. Also, Luana’s family would like to thank Tina, Julie, Cindy and everyone else who has been there to support them.
