Lois M. Juehring

Lois M. Juehring, 91, of Oxford Junction passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Cedar Manor in Tipton. 

A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 am on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Dawson Funeral Services in Oxford Junction.   Her graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 10 at 11:45 am at the Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction. 

Lois Marie was born on January 22, 1933 in Oxford Junction, Iowa to Louis and Anna (Carstensen) Benhart. She graduated from Oxford Junction High School in 1950. On May 19, 1951she was united in marriage to the love of her life Walter Juehringin Oxford Junction. Lois is a member of the Oxford Junction United Methodist Church, Ladies Auxiliary Unit 473 and the ZCBJ Lodge in Oxford Junction. She enjoyed tending to her garden and camping. Dancing with her husband Walter was one of her favorite past times. 

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters: Carol (Mark) Taylor of Coralville, Karen (Lynn) Sterk of Oxford Junction, three grandchildren: Carrie (David) Fall of Lisbon, Krista (Jason) Krueger of Brandon, Shawn (Teri) Sterk of Oxford Junction, nine great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter and a brother Ken (Barb) Benhart of Maquoketa. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Marilyn Jeffery and a brother Melvin “Red” Benhart.
