Leonard F. Lasack, 96, of Oxford Junction passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at
the Clarence Senior Living.
His funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Sacred Heart
Catholic Church in Oxford Junction. A visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church on Saturday, June 22 from 9:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be at
Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction. Full military honors will be rendered by American
Legion Wapsi Post #473.
Leonard Francis was born on February 27, 1928 to Louis and Helen (Wasaba) Lasack in
Jones County, Iowa. He graduated from Oxford Junction High School. He faithfully and
honorably served in the United States Air Force and was a 70-year member of the
American Legion Wapsi Post #473. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
Oxford Junction. Leonard was a lifelong farmer, raising many pigs over the years. He was
big into showing pigs and traveled to many states to compete. Leonard was an avid bowler
and golfer.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sister-in-law, Roberta and nephews, Christopher,
Daniel, Martin and a niece Mary, cousins including a close cousin Jim (Lola) Lasack.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Al and Lou, one nephew Steven.
Leonard’s family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at the Clarence Senior
Living for the exceptional care they gave to him. Memorials may be directed to American
Legion Wapsi Post #473 or Sacred Heart Catholic Church in his honor. Cards of
