John Risinger

John W. Risinger, 73, of Wyoming, Iowa passed away on September 27, 2020 at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport, Iowa.

A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at the Wyoming Fairgrounds, beginning at 1:00 p.m.  

John William Risinger was born on March 5, 1947 to Leo and Catherine Risinger in Clinton Iowa. He married Teresa Pavin who passed away in 1996. He married Detra Mettler on April 7, 2006 in Reno, Nevada. John was a truck driver who worked many years for Somerville Trucking.

While truck driving was his passion he also enjoyed working on vehicles. He loved to tear things apart and put them back together.

He is survived by his wife, Detra, two children; Tabitha Risinger of Texas, Melissa Risinger of Illinois, three step-children; Carrie (Charles) Evens of Illinois, Kenneth (Hannah Hollis) Pavin of Wyoming, Aaron Pavin of Anamosa, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Teresa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family in his honor.
