Helen D. Sherman

Helen D. Sherman, 100, of Maquoketa passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa. 

Her graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Pence Cemetery in Baldwin, Iowa. Dawson Funeral Services is caring for her family. 

Helen Dora was born on April 2, 1923  to Daniel and Florence (Riggs) Sherman and grew up on a farm near Baldwin.

Those left to cherish her memory are her nephew David (Mary) Sherman of San Diego, CA, three nieces; Margie (Jerry) Danielson of Davenport, Dorothy (L.C.) Steffen of Maquoketa, Karen (Mark) McCleery of Yermo, CA, many great nieces and nephews and several cousins. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister in infancy, an adult brother and a sister-in-law. 

Helen’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Jackson County, Dr. Bybee and Dr. Waller for the loving care they have shown Helen over the years.
