Obituary
Harold E. McCormick Jr., 73, of Onslow, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 11:00-1:00 pm at Dawson Funeral Services in Maquoketa. His graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday, December 5 at 2:30 pm at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery.
Harold Eugene McCormick Jr. was born on January 26, 1949 to Harold and Georgia Mea (Bertram) McCormick Sr. in Davenport, Iowa. He graduated from West High School in Davenport. Harold was active in the military for 21 years, serving in three branches; the Army, Air Force and the Iowa National Guard. He also worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for 20 years, retiring in 2003. He also worked at IAS as a seasonal driver. Harold was a member of the Apostolic Church in Anamosa.
Those left to cherish his memory is his fiancé Sandra Seemann and his loyal cats Kelli Marie and Winer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jimmy, grandmother Mea Steffen, an uncle Robert Bertram, aunt Janice Bertram and a cousin Virginia “Jenny”.
