Galen Clyde Clark, 91, of Maquoketa passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Galen was born March 5, 1930 in McCausland, Iowa to Clyde and Mayburn (Wright) Clark. On October 6,1951 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Doran, Lyons, Iowa. He worked for Iowana Farms until they closed, retiring from Hostess Bakery. Galen enjoyed golf, fishing, his beloved Hawkeyes and St. Louis Cardinals. He was always a competitor whether it was the sports he enjoyed, computer golf or card games with grandkids. His biggest love was family and the next celebration that would bring all of us together.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 70 years, Phyllis, children; Sandra Enke of Bettendorf, Deborah (Clint) Rieff of Powell, Wyoming, Todd (Denise) Clark of Maquoketa, Shawn (Mary) Clark of Laramie, Wyoming. Grandchildren; Brian (Amanda) Merkel, Elizabeth (Alex) Elmore, Scott (Amber) Enke, Nicholas (Jessica) Enke, Danielle (Ted) Keopple, Thomas (Megan) Clark, Matthew Clark, Emily Clark, Megan Clark, and 12 great - grandchildren. His siblings Allen LeBarge, Charlene (Dick) Schudel, Bonnie (Jim) Yates, Jimmy (Rita) LeBarge, Darlene Aceto, Marlene Ryan and Sister-in law, Sharon LeBarge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Loyal LeBarge.
