Donald B. McDonald

Donald McDonald, 82, of Maquoketa passed away on December 18, 2020 at Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa.

His family has granted his wishes of a cremation. Dawson Funeral Services of Maquoketa is assisting the family at this time.

Donald was born on January 20, 1938 in Clinton, Iowa to Donald and Mae (Swartz) McDonald. He graduated from Charlotte High School in 1956. Farming was his life and in his younger days he enjoyed trail riding with is horses. Donald faithfully and honorably served in the United Stated Army. In 2005 he was united in marriage to Lena, she preceded him in death in March.

Those left to cherish his memories are his sisters; Elizabeth “Betty” (Ron) Bundy of Washington, Carol (Don) Mattson of Indiana and a brother John (Joan) McDonald of DeWitt and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Lena.
