Charles "Chuck" Sabin

Charles G. “Chuck” Sabin, 62, of Downing, Missouri passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at the Dubuque Specialty Care.

A Celebration of his life will be held on August 14, 2021 at their farm in Scotland County Missouri. Please join his family and friends for a hog roast and bring a chair and a story of Chuck to share.

Charles Gene was born on May 1, 1959 in Cedar Rapids to Gene and Norma (O’Dell) Sabin. On June 12, 1999 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Tamie Fall in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Chuck was the DUDE, he was a true friend to many. He enjoyed tinkering and “engineering” things in his free time. In 2005 Harley Smyser came into his life and he treated him as his own grandson. Chuck loved his family very much and took care of his mother until she passed away in 2016. In 2014 Harley wanted a puppy and their dear friends Dana Yvonne and Cassandra Bryant showed up with Bella and it was love at first sight, she was Chuck’s loyal companion from there on. He worked at Goss for over 24 years.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Tamie Sabin,Lacey (Trevor) Christiansen a niece whom he raised as a daughter, Harley Smyser whom he raised as his grandson, two sisters: Deborah (Jeffery) Killoren, Pamela (Tim) Kemmerer, two sisters-in-law: Linda Fall and Becky (Alan) Cooper and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 
Preceding him in death is his parents, mother-in-law Velma Fall, three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, two nephews and two great-nephews.
