Bruce Lee Rickels

Bruce L. Rickels, 73, of Anamosa and formerly of Wyoming passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Dawson Funeral Services is caring for his family.

Bruce Lee Rickels was born on April 7, 1950 in Iowa to Richard Rickels and Geneva (Anderson) Rohwedder. For over 40 years he was an auto mechanic at Freese Motors, Inc. in Monticello. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, riding on his ATV and tinkering with anything mechanical.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children; Roger, Bruce Jr., and Aaron, and three brothers; Henry Rohwedder, Randy Rickels and Scott Rickels.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Wanda and two brothers: James and Doug.
