Boneita J. “Bonnie” Fulmer, 81, of Lost Nation passed away on October 5, 2022 at home.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the United Methodist Church in Oxford Junction. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 9 from 2:00-5:00 pm at Dawson Funeral Services in Oxford Junction. Burial will be at Lost Nation Cemetery.
Boneita Jean was born on March 6, 1941 in Iowa to Lyle and Myrtle (Wade) Larkey. She graduated from Oxford Junction High School. In August of 1964 she was united in marriage to Joseph Fulmer in Oxford Junction. She worked as a financial secretary for Howard Brarem and Associates for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Oxford Junction and the Lost Nation Women’s Auxiliary. Bonnie enjoyed spending time in her garden and planting flowers. She always kept a beautiful garden and was told it was the biggest around. She loved to bake and cook for her family and friends. She was very involved in the Mississippi Valley Blood Center and would help with the local blood drives.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of over 58 years Joseph, two children; Tammy (John) Eckstrom of Elburn, Illinois, Joe Fulmer of Cedar Rapids and two grandchildren; Amanda and Zachary.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother William.
