Ben Halberg, age 82, passed away at St. Luke's Hospice on August 20th, 2025. Born July 31st, 1943, he married Marlys (Defries) on November 30th, 1963.

Survived by his loving wife; two daughters Sandi (Doug) Edmunds and Cyndi (Jeremy) Hall; his three grandchildren, Jeremy (Mysti) Edmunds, Lacey Rae, and Jillian Hall; five great-grandchildren, Dallas, Taylor, Rylee, Karsen, and Dakota.

A celebration of life will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, 2736 Bowling St. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404 on Sunday, October 19th from 2-4 pm. Cards may be sent to Marlys Halberg, PO BOX 244, Mechanicsville, IA 52306.
