Madonna McCloy, 80, of Delmar, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospital. Her funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Delmar. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Delmar. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the Rosary being recited by family members at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Delmar. Madonna Steines was born on May 5, 1934 in Springbrook, Iowa to parents, Arnold and Clara (Weis) Steines. She was united in marriage to Joseph McCloy at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Springbrook, IA on September 13, 1958. Madonna was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society. She also volunteered for her community and church. She enjoyed spending time cooking, baking, traveling and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She and her husband co-owned and operated J & M Travel, and McCloy Electric in Delmar for many years. Madonna is survived by her children; Shirley McCloy, of Cedar Rapids, IA, Marlene McCloy of Delmar, JoLynn (Randy) Grashorn, of Omaha, NE, John (Susan) McCloy of DeWitt, IA, Patrick (Kathy) McCloy of Maquoketa, IA, and Francis (Jennifer) McCloy of Lisbon, IA, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, soon to be 12 great-grandchildren, nine sisters; Gwendola Till of Maquoketa, Betty (Richard) Fleege of Summerfield, Florida, Iona (Harold) Koppes and Bonnie Charboneau both of Dubuque, Sister Shirley Steines SSND of Lamberton, Minnesota, Darlene Sieverding and Kelma (Robert) Michels both of Bellevue, Marlene Steines of Aurora, Colorado, Mary Jo (Gary) Beohm of Ankeny, two brothers; Roger (Janis) Steines of Springbrook, Larry (Patty) Steines of Dubuque, and her sisters-in-law Ruth Gerlach of Delmar and Mary Frondle of Clinton, Shirley and Arletta McCloy of Maquoketa.,. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph on June 7, 2013, her parents, a brother Merrice Steines, her sisters-in-law Phyllis Steines, Janice McCloy, Kate Fuqua, and her brothers-in-law Merlin Till, Ray Charboneau, Tom Sieverding, Robert, Eugene, James, and LaVern McCloy.
