Lawretta  Lorraine "Tood"  Busch, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 8th 2026.

She showed her love in countless ways—Especially through the warmth of her kitchen and memories.  Though she is deeply missed, her spirit and memories live on in the family she loved so dearly and in her recipes that will continue to be shared.  Lawretta worked many jobs, but the most fulfilling was the 25+ years as the lunch lady at Oxford Junction, Lost Nation, and Midland Schools. She was an Avon Lady & Member of St. Marks Lutheran Church.

Lawretta found the most joy sitting on the porch or deck soaking in the sun visiting.  She always had an open chair, a hot cup of coffee or Diet Cherry Pepsi for anyone who stopped by.  She is reunited with the love of her life Harlan, happily together for over 60 years.  Together they devoted their life to their children and family.  They were known for their open home to friends, friends like family, and neighborhood children.

Lawretta is proceeded in death by Harlan "Smokey" Busch.  Her parents Lawrence & Mildred Kuehl.  Siblings: Gloria (Blair "Pee Wee") Williams, Dona (Leonard) Clapp.

Lawretta is survived by her children: Robin, Matthew, Corrie (Melissa), Christopher (Sherrie).

Grandchildren: Heather (Ryan), Correy (Danielle), Joseph (Emily), Katie, Rylan, Brecken, Bryson, Delaney, Olivia, Ellie.

Great Grandchilden: Lane, Lakely, Ivy, Harper, Andie.

A memorial service for Lawretta Busch will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Oxford Junction. Following the service, Lawretta will be laid to rest at Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction. Dawson Funeral Services of Oxford Junction is caring for Lawretta and her family.
