Larry McPeak, 70, of Bernard, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa. His funeral service will be on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Maquoketa. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Lahey Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Maquoketa. Larry Dean McPeak was born on February, 11, 1945 to parents Harold and Virginia (Earles) McPeak in Maquoketa. He graduated from Clinton High School. Larry was united in marriage to Jeanie King on May 23, 1964 in Clinton, Iowa. He worked at DuPont-Bemis Plastics in Camanche, Iowa for 52 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and his dog, Sonny Boy. He was an avid Hawkeye fan, enjoying all sports. He was a loving husband and father. Larry is survived by his wife, Jeanie, his children; Susan (Steve) Soenksen of Rockford, IL, Debbie Kay (Steve) Dick of Greens Fork, IN, and Pam (John) Winget of Washington, Iowa, 7 grandchildren, his brother, James McPeak of Clinton, IA and his sister in law, Sara McPeak and niece, Stephanie of Orlando, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
