Irene F. Elsner, 89, of Delmar, Iowa died Monday, May 6, 2013, at Westwing Place in DeWitt. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Delmar. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Lahey Funeral Home in Maquoketa, where a rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Sugar Creek, Iowa. Irene F. Elsner was born March 22, 1924 in Charlotte, Iowa to John and Elizabeth (Timmer) Elsner. She was a childcare provider in her early years, also she read water meters in Delmar and was a pedestrian controller for the Delmar School. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Delmar and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Irene also had a good nature about her any time you seen her. Irene is survived by 15 neices and nephews and several great nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, four sisters, and one nephew.
