Hulda J. Healy, 98, of Peachtree City, Georgia, formally of Maquoketa, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013.

Remembrance Service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Maquoketa. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Lahey Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pence Cemetery.

Hulda Julia Berner was born August 11, 1915 in Baldwin to Henry and Margaret (Greenwoldt) Berner. She was united in marriage to John Healy on December 12, 1944 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. She worked at Clinton Engines as a machinist, and was a Hotel Manager in Maquoketa. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxillary. Hulda loved being a housewife, traveling, and playing cards. She cherished the moments most when she was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three children; Patrick (Beck) Healy of DeWitt, Peggy (Bill) Ostrander of Brighton, CO, Sharon (Gary) Brown of Peachtree City, GA, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, and three brothers.
