Helen C. Feltes, 92, of Maquoketa, Iowa passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa. Funeral services for Helen will be held on Tuesday, May 20th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa. The Rosary will be recited by the Catholic Daughters at 10:00 a.m. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Maquoketa. Helen Catherine (Duffy) Feltes was born on December 15th, 1921 to parents Laurence and Iva (Clark) Duffy in rural Jones County, Iowa. She was united in marriage on July 6th, 1950 to Gerald Feltes at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa. Helen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Raphael 1156 of Maquoketa, Iowa. Helen was a homemaker, daycare provider and also worked for Catholic Charities. She enjoyed rock hunting. Helen is survived by her husband, Gerald, her children; Catherine (John) Vachris of Ames, Iowa, John Feltes of Wheatland, Iowa and Richard (Denise) Feltes of Wheatland, Iowa. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Regina Yoke and Georgia Coppess, a brother, John and Daughter-in-law, Jane. Memorials are preferred.
