Helen L. Feeney, 96 of Maquoketa died on Thursday, June 25th at the Maquoketa Care Center in Maquoketa. Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 7 P.M. at Lahey Funeral Home in Maquoketa. Funeral Services will be held on Tueday at 10:30 AM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Maquoketa, burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Maquoketa. Helen Broderson was born on January 13, 1919 in Maquoketa to her parents Paul and Edith Harrison Broderson. She married Harold Feeney on August 26th, 1946 in Zwingle, they had farmed in the Zwingle and Iron Hill areas for many years. Harold died on October 14, 1988. Helen was active with the Jackson County Historical Society, and St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Maquoketa for many years. She is survived by her sons; Paul W. Feeney in Honolulu, HA, and a son Phillip & Madonna Feeney of Nevada, Iowa Two Grandsons, Josh (Amanda) and Kellen (Alexandria) Feeney of St. Paul, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her Parents, a brother Walter in WWII, and her Husband Harold. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to Hurstville Interpretive Center, or the Jackson County Historical Society.
