Florence Mary Manderscheid, 104, of Maquoketa passed away January 27, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque. To honor Florence's life a funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa on Saturday, January 30 at 11:30 am. Visitation beginning at 9:30 am until the time of her service. A Catholic Daughters of America Rosary will be recited at 9:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Sacred Heart cemetery in Maquoketa. Lahey Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their services. Florence was born on November 21, 1911 in Springbrook, Iowa. She married Francis Manderscheid on January 23, 1934. She farmed alongside her husband, as well as worked at Crestridge Nursing Home, and Jackson County Public Hospital in the dietary department. Florence was a member of Catholic Daughters of America, Chapter St. Raphael #1156 in Maquoketa. She also enjoyed playing Euchre and was in several Euchre Marathons at the Senior Center. She enjoyed fishing, and most of all she cherished her family. She is survived by her two sons; Robert (Carol) Manderscheid of Lamotte, and Thomas (Peg) Manderscheid of Ankeny, 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
