Edna C. Reuter, 86, of Maquoketa passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 at Maquoketa Care Center.

Her funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of her service. A Catholic Daughter's Rosary will be held at 10:40 a.m. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Maquoketa. Lahey Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Edna Clara was born on February 6, 1930 in Jackson County, Iowa to Dominic and Florence (Weis) Kilburg. She attended school in Andrew, Iowa. Edna married Michael H. Reuter on November 16, 1949 at St. John's Catholic Church in Andrew. They had twelve children and they resided on a farm outside of Maquoketa. Edna and Michael attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa. Edna's catholic faith was strong. She was a Catholic Daughter of the Americas Court St. Raphael 1156. She enjoyed praying and attending church. In her earlier years she made quilts for her children.

Those left to cherish her memories include her twelve children; David (Mary) Reuter of Baldwin, Jim (Lori) Reuter of Maquoketa, Ron (Janeen) Reuter of Camanche, Donna (Jay) Keeney of Maquoketa, Darla (Gerard) Banowetz of Charlotte, Diana (Tod) Christiansen of Goose Lake, Jean (Don) Weis of Camanche, Bernice (Tim) Licata of Platte City, Missouri, Linda (Greg) Snyder of Miles, LouAnn (Charles) Heim of Diamondhead, Mississippi, RoseAnn (Terry) Schultz of Clinton, Christina Reuter of Colorado, 23 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren three step grandchildren three sisters; Sally Banowetz, Vera (Levi) Schmidt, Dula (Leon) Tebbe and six brothers; Alvin Kilburg, Earl (Catherine) Kilburg, Lloyd Kilburg, Vince (Judy) Kilburg, Kenny (Jean) Kilburg, Leo (Janis) Kilburg and a sister-in-law Mary Kilburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers; Albert and Vernon, her sister Rita, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
