Darleen A. Allen, 91, of Pleasant Valley & formerly of Maquoketa, passed away Thursday, January 9th at Riverview Manor in Pleasant Valley. Family graveside services will be held at a later date. Lahey Funeral Home is assisting the family. Darleen Neuman was born November 23, 1922 in Andrew, Iowa to Nicholas & Anna ( Achen ) Neuman. She graduated from Andrew High School in 1940 & later from Bayless Business College in Dubuque. She was united in marriage to Walter K. Allen on June 18th, 1946 in Marion, Iowa. She is survived by her daughter Carol ( Courtney ) Hunt, Pleasant Valley. Three grandchildren: Tara (Dane) Crist, Bettendorf, Trisha Hunt, Eldridge & Travis (Alex) Hunt, Colona, Illinois. Great grandchildren Catelyn, Cassidy, Alaina & Owen. She was preceded in death by her husband & her parents.
