Carl Francis (Chuck) Kingsley, 85, of Maquoketa passed away on November 7, 2016 at the Maquoketa Care Center. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, November 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa, IA with visitation at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m where a Knights of Columbus Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m.. Burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Lahey Funeral Home is assisting the family at this time.
Chuck was born on January 16, 1931 in Dubuque, IA, the son of Vincent and Lucille (Lynch) Kingsley. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was a resident of Maquoketa Care Center where he joined in all the activities with singing being his favorite. A special thanks to the staff at the Care Center for their loving care.
Previous employment included Dubuque Stamp, Clinton Engines, Hingtgen Sawmill and the Maquoketa Historical Museum.
Those left to honor his memory include sisters; Jeanette Russell of Dubuque, Dena (Tom) Schliesman of Muscatine and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jerry and his wife Rose, Joe "Merl" and his wife Anna Mae, two sisters, Alecia and her husband Shots Konrardy, Thelma and her husband Arnie Herrig, brother-in-law Bob Russell, two nephews, Dale Russell, and Mike Kingsley.
Memorials may be made to Camp Courageous, Divine Word Seminary, or the charity of your choice.
