Ann J. Bomia, 85, of Lost Nation, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Wheatland Manor.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lost Nation. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Lost Nation Cemetery.

Ann J. Rosenquist was born April 5, 1928 in Peoria, Illinois to Clarence and Gladys (Putcamp) Rosenquist. She was united in marriage to Fred Bomia on May 12, 1955 in Missouri, he died on December 15, 1999.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Iowa Bearing in Davenport, the Maquoketa Sentinel Press, and also worked at Max Ray Jewelers. She is a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lost Nation, she also was a member of the Peace Pipe Players, and the Church Circle. She was a director for the church choir for many years.

Ann is survived by four children; Karla (Roger) Byl of Clinton, Chuck (Sue) Bomia of Monmouth Steve Bomia of Low Moor, Brad (Alys) Bomia of Davenport, a step-daughter Linda (Lou) Vatsoano of Oakpark, Illinois, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one step-daughter.
